Yes we have a four weekly menu that is on rota, our menus are reviewed every 6 months and changed/adapted with parents, staff and children's views taken into consideration.
Children are given appropriate sized cutlery as well as staff having cutlery to support them in eating and ensuring they have a sufficient amount of food. At meal times children sit in small groups with their peers and an adult, encouraging them in feeding themselves and eating through peer encouragement and role modelling. Staff also eat with the children, acting as great models for them.
Absolutely fine! Children who still breastfeed can still have this at the setting. Parents can bring labelled breast milk each day in their own bottle - staff have training on how to store and warm breast milk.
We do a variety of activities based around the Early Years Foundation Stages to support children's development. These activities cover arts and crafts, messy play, water and sand play, and a variety of activities around construction, role play, multiculturalism. The children have access to indoor and outdoor play daily in our large garden area!
A typical day is fun-filled and caring! Children are offered breakfast, 2 snacks, lunch, and tea with a dessert. They have regular nappy changes, sleep times and access to indoor and outdoor play.
At the moment we don’t go on any outings due to COVID-19 but we will be looking at resuming this in September, or earlier, after reviewing the situation.
Your child’s Key Person will be your main touch point at the nursery, working directly with your child to help them settle in the nursery, find out about their likes and dislikes, and monitor their progress. We provide 2 hours on 2 days to settle your child. If more days are needed we can offer until the end of their first week.
Every age group will go outdoors at least twice a day.
We currently have 4 First Aiders, and there is always more than 1 on-site at any time.
Yes, we complete a DBS check on all staff and we collect their references from 2 previous employers.
Due to various skin sensitivities and each family using different nappies and wipes on their babies, we do not provide them at the nursery. Parents/carers will need to provide their own nappies and wipes.
Yes, absolutely! Just give us a call to let us know beforehand.
Yes, you will need to pay all year round, including bank holidays and annual staff training days.

Yes, you can change the days and sessions your child attends, however, the need to maintain the proper ratios means we will need 1 month written notice.
